The Office of Equity and Human Rights offers their Equity 101 course to City employees 2 to 5 times per month. Currently the course is held in a virtual format.

Description: In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of the difference between equity and equality, the demographics and disparities that exist in Tacoma, a brief history of structural and institutional racism in the United States, with a specific focus on Tacoma, and the five goals the City of Tacoma has set related to equity.
